Prop-Firm Fundamentals
How proprietary trading firms are structured, what they are offering, and where their incentives sit.
Educational content covering prop-trading concepts, evaluation processes, risk management, trading discipline and performance analysis.
Educational content only. No guarantee of passing any evaluation or generating trading profits. Trading involves substantial risk, and past performance does not guarantee future results.
Proprietary trading firms allocate their own capital to traders who meet their criteria, usually through an evaluation with defined rules: a profit target, a maximum drawdown, daily loss limits and constraints on how positions may be held.
Those rules are the subject. Most people who attempt an evaluation fail on the risk rules rather than on analysis, which makes the rulebook worth studying as carefully as any chart.
We teach how these programmes are structured, how their constraints interact, and what a process capable of respecting them looks like. KOUSHIK RANJIT PRIVATE LIMITED is not a proprietary trading firm, does not provide trading capital or funded accounts, and cannot influence any firm’s decision.

The rules, the arithmetic and the discipline — in that order.
How proprietary trading firms are structured, what they are offering, and where their incentives sit.
Evaluation phases, profit targets, drawdown rules and the terms that define whether an account survives.
Daily loss limits, maximum drawdown and trailing thresholds — and how they interact with position sizing.
Building a repeatable routine that behaves the same on a good day and a bad one.
Pressure, bias and emotional control when a rule set leaves no room for improvisation.
Recording and reviewing sessions so mistakes are identified rather than repeated.
Constructing, testing and reviewing an approach as a study exercise within a defined rule set.
What published pass rates imply, and why treating an evaluation as a shortcut tends to end badly.
Prop trading is a subject we teach, not a service we operate. These boundaries are absolute.
KOUSHIK RANJIT PRIVATE LIMITED is not a proprietary trading firm and does not represent, act for, or hold any affiliation with any proprietary trading firm. We do not provide trading capital or funded accounts, and we make no claim or guarantee that any person will pass an evaluation, retain an account or earn any income.
